Academic Overview
About Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU)
Adikavi Nannaya University, popularly known as AKNU, is a state university located in Rajamahendravaram (Rajahmundry), Andhra Pradesh. Established in 2006 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh under the Andhra Pradesh Universities Act, the university is named after Adikavi Nannaya — the earliest known Telugu poet who authored the Adi Parva of the Mahabharata in Telugu, earning him the title "Adi Kavi" (the first poet).
AKNU is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by NAAC. The university serves as an affiliating institution for over 150 colleges spread across the East Godavari and West Godavari districts of Andhra Pradesh. It offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs through its constituent and affiliated colleges.
AKNU follows a semester system (Choice Based Credit System — CBCS) for most of its courses. Examinations are conducted twice a year — odd semester (November–December) and even semester (April–May). On this page, we bring you the latest AKNU result updates for all courses, semesters, and examination cycles so you don't have to keep refreshing the official portal.

AKNU Semester System & Grading (CBCS)
Adikavi Nannaya University follows the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) with a 10-point grading scale for all UG and PG programmes. Understanding how your result is calculated can help you interpret your mark sheet better:
Odd Semester (1st, 3rd, 5th)
Exams held in November – December. Results are generally declared in January – February of the following year. Theory and lab exams are conducted separately.
Even Semester (2nd, 4th, 6th)
Exams held in April – May. Results are typically out by June – July. Final semester students get their results along with CGPA and degree classification.
AKNU Grading Scale (10-Point System)
| Grade | Marks Range | Grade Points | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| O (Outstanding) | 90–100 | 10 | Pass |
| A+ (Excellent) | 80–89 | 9 | Pass |

Supplymentary, Recounting & Advanced Supply Exams
Supplymentary / Backlog Exams
Students who failed in one or more subjects in the regular semester exams can appear for supplymentary examinations. AKNU usually conducts supply exams within 1–2 months after the regular results are declared. The supply exam notifications and fee details are published on the official AKNU exams portal. Supply results are also updated on this page as soon as they are announced.
Recounting / Revaluation
If you feel there is a mistake in the evaluation of your answer script, AKNU provides an option for recounting (re-totalling of marks) and revaluation (fresh evaluation by a different examiner). Applications must be submitted online through the AKNU exam portal within the specified deadline, usually 7–10 days after the result declaration. The recounting/revaluation result is published separately.
Advanced Supplymentary Exams
AKNU also conducts advanced supply exams for final year students who have backlogs from earlier semesters and want to clear them before their degree is awarded. These exams are a lifeline for outgoing students who cannot afford to wait for the next regular supply cycle. Notifications for advanced supply are released separately.
Frequently Asked Questions — AKNU Result 2025
When will AKNU declare the 2025 even semester results?
AKNU even semester exams are conducted in April–May, and results are generally declared between June and July. Odd semester results (Nov–Dec exams) come out in January–February. Delays can happen due to paper valuation schedules, but we update this page the moment results go live.
What is the AKNU result portal URL?
The official AKNU results portal is aknuexams.in (or sometimes results are published on aknu.edu.in). On Result91, we directly link to these official portals so you can check your result without searching for the correct URL.
How do I calculate my percentage from SGPA/CGPA?
To convert your CGPA to percentage, multiply your CGPA by 10. For example, if your CGPA is 7.8, your approximate percentage is 78%. However, for official purposes (like higher education admissions or government jobs), always refer to the formula mentioned on your mark sheet or the AKNU ordinance.
What is the minimum attendance required to appear for AKNU exams?
As per AKNU regulations, students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in each subject to be eligible to appear for the semester examinations. A condonation of up to 10% (i.e., 65% minimum) may be granted in genuine cases with a medical certificate and payment of the condonation fee.
My result shows "WITHHELD" — what does it mean?
A "WITHHELD" status typically means your result is temporarily held back due to shortage of attendance, pending fee dues, malpractice case under investigation, or incomplete internal assessment records. You need to contact your college principal or the AKNU examination cell immediately to resolve the issue.
I forgot my hall ticket number. How can I find it?
Your hall ticket number is printed on your exam hall ticket. If you lost it, check your college notice board, ask your class coordinator, or look for any SMS/email from AKNU or your college. Some colleges also provide the hall ticket number on their student portal. Unfortunately, Result91 cannot retrieve your hall ticket number — only your college or the university can help.
Can I apply for recounting for all subjects at once?
Yes, you can apply for recounting and/or revaluation for multiple subjects in a single application. You need to pay the prescribed fee per subject. The application window is usually very short (7–10 days from result date), so make sure you apply on time through the AKNU exam portal.
