GSET Exam Pattern 2026 (Paper 1 & 2)

Familiarity with the GSET Syllabus 2026 & Exam Pattern is essential for success in the Gujarat SET examination. Understanding the exam format helps candidates build a strategic study schedule to maximize their scores. • Mode of Examination: The exam is expected to be conducted in Offline (Pen and Paper) mode.
• Type of Questions: Both papers will feature Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four options, out of which only one is correct.
• No Negative Marking: Candidates are encouraged to attempt all questions, as there is no penalty for wrong answers.
• Qualifying Criteria: To qualify for the GSET, a candidate must:
  • Secure at least 40% aggregate marks for candidates in the Unreserved/General-EWS category.
  • Secure at least 35% aggregate marks for candidates from the Reserved categories (SC, ST, SEBC, PwD).
• Medium of Question Paper: The question paper for both Paper I and Paper II (except for science and language subjects) will be available in both English and Gujarati.
