Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must ensure they fulfill the age, nationality, and educational requirements before applying.

Nationality Criteria

  • a citizen of India, or
  • a subject of Nepal, or
  • a subject of Bhutan, or
  • a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India, or
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to settle in India permanently.

Educational Qualification

Post RBI Grade B Educational Qualification
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – (General) Graduation/Post Graduation in any discipline or an equivalent technical or professional qualification.
• Graduation: Minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants)
• Post Graduation: Minimum 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants)
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)–DEPR Master’s Degree in Economics or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate.
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)–DSIM Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, Econometrics, or related fields with a minimum of 55% marks.
