The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is constituted under an Act of Parliament i.e. the Company Secretaries Act, 1980 (Act No. 56 of 1980). ICSI is the only recognized professional body in India to develop and regulate the profession of Company Secretaries in India. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India awards the certificate of bestowing the designation of Company Secretary (CS) to a candidate qualifying for the membership of the Institute. It was in 1960 that the Company Law Board started a course in Company Secretaryship leading to the award of Government Diploma in Company Secretaryship. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has its headquarters at New Delhi and four regional offices at New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai. The major contribution of Company Secretary (CS) is in the corporate sector. Company Secretary (CS) is an important professional aiding the efficient management of the corporate sector. Company Secretary (CS) is designated as an officer under the Companies Act. Company Secretary (CS) has to interact, coordinate, integrate and cooperate with various other functional heads in a company. A member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India(ICSI) may also practice independently as a professional after obtaining a certificate of practice as provided in the Company Secretaries Act,1980.

Institute of Company Secretaries of India Exam Time Table / Date Sheet

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India will be conducted the exam in the academic year. The official members of the University will be created the exam date sheet. The Exam Time Table is very important for a student. The Students can plan their study timing according to Examination Schedule and appear in the examination to score higher marks in ICSI Examination. So the Private, Regular, Non-Collage (NC) and Ex-Students must download ICSI Undergraduate and Postgraduate Exam Date Sheet 2019 for 1st Year, 2nd Year and 3rd Year or Final Year. ICSI Exam Admit Card / Hall Ticket Download

The admit card of the exam shall be uploaded on the website of the Institute www.icsi.edu not less than 15 days before the date of commencement of the examination. For December 2019 exams the admit cards are available for download now. Students who have registered for Foundation, Executive, and Professional level exams to be held on December 29 and 30, 2019, can download they admit cards from the official website.

Institute of Company Secretaries of India Admission 2019

The Institution has released the Information Brochure containing all the details regarding the exam calendar and criteria set by the institution. The Information Brochure is available on the Official website of the Institution and candidates can download the Information Brochure from there.

The Institution will announce the final cutoff list for the candidates who will get the admission in the institution. The Cutoff will depend upon the type of the course the candidates have applied for. The foundation course will have the less cutoff than the executive course.

The Company Secretary course comprises of three courses.

1. Foundation Course

2. Executive Course

3. Professional Course

One is supposed to qualify the first course to be eligible for 2nd course and to qualify the 2nd course to be eligible for the 3rd course. 

As you are graduate you are not required to qualify Foundation course and so you can directly apply for the Executive course. 

There is no percentage restriction as such. 

All 12th passed candidates are eligible for Foundation course and all graduates are eligible for the Executive course. 

You are supposed to register early for admission to the course, before a particular cut off date.

Online Exam Form of ICSI

Eligible students can get themselves enrolled in CS course through a fairly simple registration procedure, which can be done online as well as offline.

• For registration, the student will have to log on to the official website and go to “log in” button.
• Click on “Student” option and then click on “Student Registration” to register with a valid email ID and password.
• Application fee can be paid through Debit/Credit Cards/Net Banking.
• The students are also required to upload documents in support of their qualification - Date of Birth Certificate and 10+2 Pass Certificate/Marksheet at Headquarters, Regional Offices & selected Chapter Offices.
• On successful completion of the application procedure, the registration number will be shared with the students through E-Mail or SMS.
• Students can download the Registration Letter by either entering the Registration Number received through E-Mail/SMS or by accessing through his user ID.

students who wish to apply offline can purchase the prospectus from the headquarters, regional offices, and selected Chapter offices, and submit the filled in form along with required documents and application fee at the same office.

The hard copy of the examination form can also be obtained by post from the Institute (Noida Office) by sending demand draft of Rs 540/- (Rupees Five Hundred and Forty only) drawn in favour of “The Institute of Company Secretaries of India” payable at New Delhi, along with the request letter for the same, detailing the name of the student, Registration Number and complete postal address.
