In 1892-93 the University began to invest some capital in the Government Securities. In 1899-1900 its reserve fund amounted to Rs. 34,000. The University was thus now in a position to construct its own buildings. In 1909 the present site was selected for the Library, the Senate House and the Law College. These buildings, which now house the Registrar's Office, Senate Hall and the English Department, were designed by Sir Swinton Jacob and their construction was approved in 1910. The foundation of the Senate House was laid on 17th January 1910 by Sir John Havett, the Chancellor. From the beginning the University has been concerned about women's education. It purchased houses for women’s Hostel and College at the cost of Rs. 66,286 and other buildings adjoining the College. Subsequently, the P.C. Banerji Hostel, the K.P. University College and the Diamond Jubilee Hostels were constructed. A few years back the Tara Chand Hostel was constructed. The Muslim Boarding House (popularly called Muslim Hostel) is the oldest of all these hostels for it was constructed in 1896-97. University of Allahabad Admission 2019

University of Allahabad B.Ed Admission 2019

B. Ed admission will be held for the affiliated colleges of the University of Allahabad. The minimum eligibility criteria is a bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 50% marks in aggregate. Admission is offered on the basis of B.Ed Admission Test organized by the University of Allahabad. The test is organized in online mode across India at designated centers.

University of Allahabad Undergraduate Admission 2019: LL.B, BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BFA, BPA

The University of Allahabad conducts UGAT to provide admission in BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BFA and BPA courses at UG level. The minimum eligibility criteria is a pass in 12th (10+2) in the relevant subject group from a recognized board.

Only UGAT qualified candidates are eligible to take admission in University departments & its constituent colleges. UGAT is a combined entrance test, organized in online as well as offline modes. UGAT is generally organized in the month of May and June every year. Application form can be filled online on payment of INR 700 (INR 350 for SC/ST/PH) as application fee.

University of Allahabad Postgraduate Admission 2019: M.Ed, MBA, MA, M.Sc, MPA, MFA, M.P.Ed, M.Tech & M.Com

The University of Allahabad offers a wide range of courses at the PG level. Candidates are required to apply for Post Graduate Admission Test (PGAT) to secure admission.

PGAT is divided into two group, i.e. PGAT – I and PGAT – II. PGAT – I are organized for conventional courses while PGAT – II is organized for specialized/non-conventional courses. Allahabad University also offers admission to MBA (RD) on the basis of Written Test and GD & PI.

University of Allahabad M.Phil, D.Phil & Ph.D. Admission 2019

M.Phil and D.Phil programs are offered by Govind Ballabh Pant Social Science Institute, a constituent of UOA. Allahabad University also offers Ph.D. in Business Administration in association with AMU.

The minimum eligibility criteria for these courses is a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized board. Students have to appear in CRET organized by the University of Allahabad to secure admission in M.Phil and D.Phil. Regular teachers of the University of Allahabad or of any other institution are exempted from appearing in CRET. Admission of candidates to Ph.D. (Business Administration) is based on the score obtained in RMAT organized by AIMA.

Before filling the application form, Students must read the information brochure carefully.

1. Students can fill the Allahabad University Admission Form 2019 through online mode.
2. A separate application form is released by the authority for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Law entrance exams.
3. The Allahabad University online application form 2019 has been issued from 12th April 2019 (For UGAT) & 20th April 2019 (For PGAT).
4. The application for MBA & BA LLB courses has been released now.
5. Students also have to upload their scanned passport size photograph & signature in a given format.
6. Students are advised to take the printout of the Allahabad University online admission form for future use.
7. There is no need to send the print copy of the filled application through offline mode or by post.
