- You must be an Indian citizen.
- You should not have done apprenticeship training earlier with Canara Bank or any other organisation, or be doing it now.

- Ex-servicemen are not engaged as apprentices, and there is no reservation for them.
- OBC candidates must have a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate. Creamy layer candidates should apply as General.
