A minimum aggregate of 55% marks in the PG examination is required for General, EWS, and OBC candidates, while SC, ST, and PwBD candidates must secure at least 50% marks to qualify.
Candidates currently in the final year of their PG program (2025 session) may apply under the 'Result Awaited' (RA) category. These applicants must provide an attestation form (Appendix E) duly signed and stamped by the Head of their Department or Institution.
Provisional permission to appear for the test will be granted to RA candidates. However, they will only be considered for the JRF award upon successful submission of their final Master’s degree results, proving they have met the requisite percentage criteria.
DHR BRET Exam Pattern 2025
- The DHR BRET Exam will be conducted in an Online Computer Based Test (CBT) format.
- The exam will be conducted in the English language only.
- The exam will consist of 150 multiple-choice-questions (MCQs).
- 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
- –0.25 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.

DHR BRET Selection Process 2025
The DHR BRET 2025 selection process is designed to identify highly qualified candidates for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). Key aspects of this process include:
