EMRS TGT Exam Pattern 2026

The EMRS TGT Exam 2026 utilizes a comprehensive two-tier selection process, specifically structured to assess a candidate's teaching aptitude, subject matter expertise, logical reasoning, and linguistic proficiency.

Tier-I is a preliminary qualifying examination in OMR (objective) mode, covering general awareness, reasoning ability, ICT knowledge, teaching aptitude, and domain knowledge, along with a qualifying language competency test in English, Hindi, and a regional language.
Candidates who qualify Tier-I and are shortlisted in the prescribed ratio appear for Tier-II, a subject knowledge examination comprising both objective and descriptive questions.
The final merit list for TGT posts is prepared solely based on Tier-II performance, making thorough preparation with previous year papers, mock tests, and subject-focused practice essential for success.

EMRS Tier I Exam Pattern

The EMRS TGT Tier-I Exam 2026 serves as a preliminary qualifying stage, conducted in OMR (objective) format, to evaluate the foundational knowledge and aptitude of applicants.

Exam Mode: Tier-I is conducted in OMR (objective) mode.
Total Marks: 100
Purpose: Serves as a qualifying and screening stage for Tier-II.
Language Competency: English, Hindi, and a regional language; qualifying in nature.
Shortlisting: Only candidates who meet the minimum marks in the language test will have their Tier-I scores considered.
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes (no time limit per part).
Next Stage: Candidates who qualify Tier-I are eligible for Tier-II (Subject Knowledge Examination), which determines final merit.
Part VI is qualifying. Candidates failing this will not have Parts I–V evaluated. Parts I to IV are common for all TGT subjects; Part V is subject-specific; Part VI depends on the regional language option.

This stage includes a combination of objective and descriptive assessments, with the final merit list based entirely on Tier-II performance.
