GSSSB Clerk 2026 Prelims Exam Pattern

The GSSSB Clerk Prelims is a qualifying stage featuring 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) worth a total of 100 marks. Candidates have 60 minutes to complete the test. Review the specific Prelims exam pattern below.

  • Questions will be asked from Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and Gujarati sections.
  • For every correct answer 1 mark will be awarded.
  • For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

GSSSB Clerk 2026 Mains Exam Pattern

Qualifying candidates move to the Mains Examination. The Mains consists of two distinct papers: Group A, carrying a total of 350 marks, and Group B, totaling 200 marks.

Group A Main Examination:

  1. The Scheme and Subjects of the Main Examination for the Posts termed as Group A in Rule 6 shall consist of the following Papers.
  2. Questions from Gujarati Language Skills, English Language Skills, and General Studies will be asked.
  3. The duration of each paper is 3 hours and the total marks are 350.

Group B Main Examination

  3. The duration of the main examination is 120 minutes and the total marks are 200.
