MPESB Forest Guard and Field Gaurd Selection Process 2026

The selection process for the MPESB Forest and Field Guard 2026 recruitment consists of two mandatory stages: a written examination followed by a qualifying Physical Efficiency Test. Success in the written exam is the primary criteria for moving forward to the physical evaluation.

1. Written Examination

• Type: Single paper
• Total Marks: 100
• Duration: 2 Hours
• Subjects: General Knowledge, Hindi, English, Mathematics, and Science (High School level)

The Forest Guard (Van Rakshak) is a vital role, tasked with the protection and preservation of the region's natural resources and wildlife. Key responsibilities include patrolling forest zones, managing conservation efforts, and reporting illegal activities.

1. He/She has to protect forests from happening of any illegal activities such as deforestation, poaching or any illegal logging.
2. He/She has monitor wildlife movement and ensure the safety of biodiversity.
3. He/She has to maintain records which are related to forest resources, wildlife sightings and conversation activities.
4. He/She has to support forest department officials during wildlife rescue operations and other protection initiatives.

Selected candidates for both the Van Rakshak and Field Guard positions will receive a competitive pay scale ranging from ₹19,500 to ₹62,000. In addition to the base salary, employees are entitled to standard state government allowances and job benefits.
