The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has officially released the comprehensive NIOS Date Sheet 2026 for the upcoming April examinations on its primary web portal. Candidates preparing for their Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) assessments can now access subject-specific NIOS exam dates 2026. NIOS Date Sheet 2026 OUT
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) published the final NIOS Date Sheet 2026 for the April theory exams on March 25, 2026. As per the official notification, these examinations will be conducted across more than 7,400 designated centers throughout India.
IMPORTANT NOTE: NIOS has updated the exam schedule for Class 10 and 12 in specific states, including Rajasthan, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh. These adjustments were necessitated by assembly elections, major competitive exams, and regional public holidays.
NIOS 2026 Practical Exam
The practical examinations for NIOS Class 10 and Class 12 are currently in progress.
- The practical examinations began on March 17 and will continue until April 1, 2026.

To streamline your study schedule, we strongly advise students to download the official NIOS Date Sheet 2026 and monitor the official website for real-time updates. Typically, the theory papers are weighted at 80 marks, while practical assessments carry 20 marks.
Students are allotted 3 hours to complete their theory papers, with an additional 15 minutes provided for pre-exam paper reading. Regarding the results, NIOS generally publishes the final scorecards approximately seven weeks after the conclusion of the final exam. Results will be accessible online via the official portal.
NIOS 10th Date Sheet 2026
The NIOS 10th and 12th exams will run from April 10, 2026, through May 6, 2026. The timetable covers a wide range of subjects, with the majority of exams scheduled in the afternoon shift between 2:30 PM and 5:30 PM. Please verify your specific subject exam times in the PDF.
