PPSC HDO Eligibility Criteria 2025

The PPSC HDO Eligibility Criteria form the foundation of the screening process. Candidates must adhere to all educational, language, and residency requirements stipulated by the Commission.   • Candidates must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject, or possess an equivalent qualification in Punjabi language as recognized by the Punjab Government.

    • Wards of Defence Personnel who are bonafide residents of Punjab are permitted to qualify the mandatory Punjabi language test within two years of appointment.

    • War Heroes, their widows, and dependent family members are formally exempted from the Punjabi language requirement.

Nationality

  1. Citizen of India, or
  2. Citizen of Nepal, or
  3. Subject of Bhutan, or
  4. Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement, or
  5. Person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
