1. General Knowledge: Covers current affairs of both national and international significance, alongside historical and socio-political developments.

2. Logical Reasoning & Mental Ability: Analytical reasoning, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills.

• Basic numerical skills, numbers, magnitudes, percentages, and numerical relation appreciation. (04 Marks)
• Data analysis, Graphic presentation, Charts, tables, Spreadsheets (04 Marks)

3. English Language: Proficiency in Basic Grammar, Synonyms, Antonyms, One-Word Substitution, Sentence Correction, Idioms, Active/Passive Voice, and Direct/Indirect Speech.

4. ਪੰਜਾਬੀ (Punjabi): Grammar, Vocabulary, Synonyms/Antonyms, Nouns, Pronouns, Verbs, Gender, Number, Idioms, Proverbs, and English-to-Punjabi translation.

5. ICT & Computer Awareness: Fundamental computer concepts, networking, internet basics, and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

6. Punjab History & Culture: Ancient history, socio-religious movements, Bhakti & Sufism, Sikh Gurus and Saints, Freedom Movements, and the cultural evolution of Punjab.

PSSSB Clerk Exam Pattern 2026

The PSSSB Clerk syllabus is structured across six major sections as defined by the board in the latest notification.

• The examination will be conducted in MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) format, and OMR sheets will be used to answer the questions.
• The exam will have a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
• The examination will consist of two parts (Part A and Part B) as detailed above
• There is a negative marking of -1/4th for each incorrect answer in Part B
• There is no negative marking in Part A
• The merit list of candidates who will qualify Part-‘A’, will be prepared on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in Part-‘B’.

Part B of the exam is the primary determinant for the final selection merit.
