Understanding State vs. District Merit List Criteria:

  • Seat allotment for Government Nursing Institutions will be determined by a State-Level Merit List (राज्य स्तरीय मेरिट).
  • Seat allotment for Private Nursing Institutions will be determined by a District-Level Merit List (जिला स्तरीय मेरिट).

Important Reservation Guidelines & Departmental Orders:

  • MBC & EWS Reservation: 5% reservation for Most Backward Classes (MBC) and 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) are provided under Personnel (A-2) Department Letter No. P 7(1) Karmik/K-2/2017 dated 23 June 2019. Candidates must attach a recently issued category certificate.
  • Scheduled Area (TSP) Candidates: Special reservation benefits are applicable for local Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates belonging to Scheduled Areas (TSP areas) as per rules.

Regulatory Rules on Course Duration for Departmental Employees:

  • The 3-year course duration (including the 6-month internship) applies equally to permanent employees currently working in the Medical and Health Department with no training period exemption.
