Educational Qualification for RML Nursing Officer

Applicants must fulfill one of the following mandatory qualification criteria:

Option 1 – Degree Qualification

  • B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc Nursing from an INC-recognised Institute or University, or
    B.Sc (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc Nursing from an INC-recognised Institute or University.
  • Must be registered as a Nurse & Midwife with the State Nursing Council / Indian Nursing Council.

Option 2 – Diploma Qualification

  • Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from an INC-recognised Institute or Board.
  • Must be registered as a Nurse & Midwife with the State / Indian Nursing Council.
  • Must have two years of work experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital after qualification.

Note: All professional experience must be post-qualification and verified on an official hospital letterhead, clearly stating the hospital bed capacity.

RML Nursing Officer Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 40 years (as on the last date of application)

Age Relaxation (as per UP Govt. rules):

  • SC/ST/OBC (U.P.): 5 years
  • Government Employees (3 years continuous service): 5 years
  • PwBD Candidates: 5 years for UR, 10 years for OBC/SC/ST
  • Dependents of Freedom Fighters & Ex-servicemen: as per applicable rules.

Reservation & Domicile Requirements

  • Reservation benefits apply only to Uttar Pradesh domicile candidates.
  • SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificates must be issued by the competent UP authority within six months before the CBT.
  • Candidates from other states will be considered Unreserved (UR).
  • Horizontal reservation applies to PwBD, Dependents of Freedom Fighters, and Ex-servicemen as per existing state rules.
