RPSC Agriculture Department Exam 2025: Official Schedule & Exam Pattern Updates
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has officially unveiled the exam schedule for the highly anticipated Agriculture Department Recruitment 2025. This update includes critical changes to the exam format and essential instructions for all candidates. Read on for the full details.
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released the official schedule for the 2025 Agriculture Department Recruitment, along with vital guidelines for all applicants. The competitive examination is set to fill 241 vacancies for the roles of Assistant Agriculture Officer (AAO) and Assistant Agriculture Research Officer (AARO), with an estimated 35,000 candidates expected to participate.
RPSC Agriculture Exam Dates and Structure
The RPSC Agriculture Department examinations are scheduled to take place from 12 October to 17 October 2025, with follow-up sessions on 28 and 29 October 2025. Additionally, the Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) Exam 2024, managed by the Economic & Statistical Department, is slated for 12 October 2025.
A significant change for this year's cycle is the reduced duration for the General Knowledge (GK) paper, now set to 40 minutes instead of the standard 2 hours. This paper will be conducted on 12 October 2025, from 3:00 PM to 3:40 PM, consisting of 40 one-mark questions. Duration for all other core Agriculture subject papers remains fixed at 2 hours.
Extra Time Provision for Candidates
To improve the accuracy of OMR answer sheet submissions, RPSC has implemented a new timing regulation:
- GK Paper (12 October, 3:00 PM – 3:40 PM): Extra 5 minutes will be given for filling the “fifth option” on the OMR sheet.
- All other Agriculture papers and ASO Exam: Extra 10 minutes will be provided.
This policy update addresses ongoing concerns from candidates regarding the need for additional time to properly mark and verify OMR sheets during the examination.
RPSC Admit Cards and Exam Center Information
Candidates can verify their assigned exam district starting 5 October 2025 via the SSO Portal. Admit cards will be available for download from 9 October 2025 through the official RPSC website (https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in) and the SSO Portal (https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in).
Admit cards can be obtained through the following two official channels:
- By entering Application Number and Date of Birth on the Admit Card link at RPSC website.
- Through the Recruitment portal in the Citizen Apps (G2C) section of the SSO Portal.
It is highly recommended that candidates download their admit cards immediately upon release to avoid potential technical delays or server congestion.
Rajasthan Agriculture Exam Day Instructions
The RPSC has established strict protocols to ensure exam integrity and discipline:
- Entry to exam centers will be permitted only up to 60 minutes before the start of the exam. Late arrivals will not be entertained under any circumstances.
- Candidates must carry a latest original Aadhaar Card (color print) for verification. If the Aadhaar photo is old or unclear, an alternative photo ID (Driving License, Passport, Voter ID) must be carried.
- A clear, latest passport-size color photograph should be affixed on the admit card.
- Candidates are advised to arrive well in advance to complete security checks smoothly.

Under the Rajasthan Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2022, participation in exam malpractice can result in severe consequences, including life imprisonment, fines up to ₹10 crore, and property confiscation.
