RRB JE 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the RRB JE 2026 recruitment, candidates must satisfy the stipulated eligibility requirements, including age limits, educational qualifications, nationality, and medical fitness standards.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the mandatory educational credentials from a recognized university or institution to qualify for the posts.
- For Junior Engineer (JE): Diploma or Degree in Engineering in the relevant discipline.
- For Chemical & Metallurgical Supervisor: Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry as main subjects with 55% marks.
- For Depot Material Superintendent (DMS): Diploma/Degree in Engineering from any recognized university.
Note: Candidates currently awaiting their final semester results are ineligible to apply.

- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962, intending to settle permanently, or
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries with the intention of permanent settlement in India.

RRB JE 2026 Exam Pattern
- Both CBT 1 and CBT 2 are objective-type online exams.
- Each question carries 1 mark.
- Negative Marking: For every wrong answer, 0.33 marks will be deducted.
- CBT 1 serves as a screening test, and marks are not counted in the final merit list.
- CBT 2 is the main stage, and marks obtained here are considered for final selection.
- The difficulty level of CBT 1 is moderate, while CBT 2 includes more technical and subject-specific questions.
- The language of examination is available in English, Hindi, and other regional languages.
