Exam Shift and Reporting Timing 2026

SSC GD CBT Exam Pattern 2026

The Computer-Based Test (CBT) consists of 80 questions worth 160 marks in total, with 2 marks awarded for every correct answer. Please be aware that there is a negative marking scheme of 0.25 marks for each incorrect response. The test session is 60 minutes long and will conclude automatically once the timer expires.

Exam Centre Rules and Guidelines

All candidates appearing for the SSC GD Constable CBT are expected to strictly comply with the guidelines and COVID-19 protocols mandated by the Staff Selection Commission.

  • Entry after the reporting time will not be permitted, so candidates should reach the centre at least 30 minutes early.
  • Carry all required documents without fail.
  • Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth gadgets, calculators, pen drives, notes, or any written material are strictly banned.
  • Sit only at the allotted seat and carefully read all instructions displayed on the computer screen before beginning the test.
  • Use only the mouse to mark responses.
  • Biometric verification, including fingerprint and photograph capture, will be conducted at the exam centre.
  • Ensure fingers are clean and free from ink, henna (mehndi), or any coating to avoid issues during verification.
