USET Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility  Details
Educational Qualification Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree recognised by UGC. Equivalence of Indian/foreign postgraduate diplomas or certificates is determined by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Minimum Marks Required General Category: 55% marks in Master’s Degree or equivalent.

Relaxed Eligibility (OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD): Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Master's Degree.

Relaxation for PhD Holders Candidates who completed their Master’s degree before 19 September 1991 and hold a PhD are eligible for a 5% relaxation (55% to 50%).
Final Year Candidates Candidates appearing in the final year of a Master’s degree can apply provisionally. They must secure the required percentage within two years of the USET result to be eligible for Assistant Professor posts.
Certificate Issuance Eligibility certificates will be issued only after submission of valid final mark sheets.
Age Limit No age limit to apply for USET.
