Staff Selection Commission (SSC JE)
The Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC JE annually for Group-B (non-gazetted) posts at Level 6 (Rs. 35,400 - 1,12,400) spanning civil, electrical, mechanical, and quantity surveying and contracts disciplines.
Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB JE)
Following the separation of Railway Services Commissions from Railway Recruitment Boards in 1985, RRB JE and SSE examinations are conducted through a nationwide Computer Based Test (CBT). While RRB JE offers a Level-6 salary, RRB SSE compensation ranges between Rs. 65,000 and 70,000.
