Who is Eligible for ISRO SAC Exam 2026?

To qualify for the ISRO SAC recruitment process, candidates must fulfill the prescribed educational qualifications and age criteria established by the organization.

  • Educational Background: Applicants must hold degrees such as BE, B.Tech, ME, M.Tech, MSc, or PhD in relevant disciplines.
    • For SD Posts: For SD Posts, candidates need a PhD in a relevant field + ME/MTech with 60% (CGPA 6.5) + BE/BTech with 65% (CGPA 6.84).
    • For SC Posts: SC Post candidates need a Master’s degree (ME/MTech/MSc) with 60% and a Bachelor’s degree with 65%.
  • Age Limit: The age requirements vary by postcode.
    • Scientist/Engineer SD: 18 to 35 years.
    • Scientist/Engineer SC (M.E./M.Tech based): 18 to 30 years.
    • Scientist/Engineer SC (M.Sc based): 18 to 28 years.

  • All applicants will sit for a written test, which accounts for 50% of the final evaluation score.

  • The written assessment is designed to test technical knowledge, logical aptitude, and role-specific understanding.

Interview: (100% Weightage)

  • The interview process is conducted at the sole discretion of the selection committee.

  • The interview will evaluate professional skills, domain knowledge, and specific experience related to the candidate's PhD research.

  • Candidates are shortlisted for the interview based on their written test scores.
  • Shortlisting follows a 1:5 ratio, five candidates for each vacancy, with a minimum of 10 candidates per post.
