KVS PGT Exam Pattern 2026

The KVS PGT selection process for 2026 is conducted across three stages: Tier-1, Tier-2, and the Interview. Tier-1 is an OMR-based preliminary examination covering reasoning, numerical aptitude, computer literacy, general knowledge, and language proficiency. It consists of 100 questions totaling 300 marks and serves as a qualifying stage with a 1/3rd negative marking penalty.

Candidates who qualify Tier-1 proceed to Tier-2, the main subject knowledge exam, in a 1:10 ratio. Tier-2 is worth 100 marks and features objective and descriptive questions with a 1/4th negative marking. Final selection is determined by a merit list based on an 85% weightage from Tier-2 and 15% from the final Interview stage, ensuring only the most competent candidates are selected.
