Fundus Condition The fundus must be normal, with no evidence of progressive eye disease.

  3. Medical Fitness Test: Following document verification, aspirants will undergo a Medical Fitness Test to ensure they meet the health standards set by Indian Railways. Only aspirants who pass this test will be eligible for inclusion in the final merit list.
  4. Final Merit List: The final merit list will be compiled based on performance in the CBT, document verification and the medical fitness test. Aspirants who are listed in the merit list will receive appointment letters for their respective paramedical positions within Indian Railways.

RRB Paramedical Exam Pattern 2026

The first stage of the selection process for the RRB Paramedical is the computer-based Test (CBT). The key details regarding the RRB Paramedical Exam format are as follows:
  • Exam Duration: The CBT will be 90 minutes for general aspirants. Aspirants with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) who opt for the Scribe facility will be allotted 120 minutes to complete the exam.
  • Question Format: The test will consist of 100 objective multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each question will have four answer choices, from which the correct one must be selected.
  • Subjects Covered: The exam will include questions on the subjects: Professional Ability (specific to the applied paramedical post), General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning and General Science.
  • Marking Scheme: Each incorrect answer will result in a penalty of 1/3rd of the marks assigned to that question. This means that for every wrong answer, 1/3rd of the marks allocated for that question will be deducted.
