RRB Pharmacist Essential Qualifications

To qualify for the RRB Pharmacist post, candidates must meet the following educational and professional qualifications:

  • 10+2 in Science or its equivalent, along with a Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognised institution and be registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, of 1948.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharma) from a recognised university or equivalent, and be registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, of 1948.

Applicants with LASIK Surgery for RRB Pharmacist

The Railway Recruitment Board has updated eligibility guidelines, confirming that candidates who have undergone LASIK or similar vision-correcting surgeries are now eligible for the post, provided they meet all other prescribed medical and professional criteria for the role:

  • Candidates must not be facing any complications from the LASIK surgery.
  • The surgery must have been done at least one year before, with substantiation through a medical certificate from the specialist who performed the surgery.
  • The residual corneal thickness of the candidates after LASIK should not be less than 425 microns.
  • The visual acuity of the aspirants must meet the standards outlined in Para 512(1)(A) of the IRMM, Vol. I, Third Edition 2000.
  • The fundus must be normal with zero evidence of progressive eye disease
