Applicants with LASIK Surgery for RRB Pharmacist

Recent RRB updates clarify that candidates who have undergone LASIK surgery or other medical procedures are now eligible, provided they meet all other medical and educational criteria defined by the Board.

  • Candidates must not be facing any complications from the LASIK surgery.
  • The surgery must have been done at least one year before, with substantiation through a medical certificate from the specialist who performed the surgery.
  • The residual corneal thickness of the candidates after LASIK should not be less than 425 microns.
  • The visual acuity of the aspirants must meet the standards outlined in Para 512(1)(A) of the IRMM, Vol. I, Third Edition 2000.
  • The fundus must be normal with zero evidence of progressive eye disease
