Job Profile & Key Responsibility Areas
The core functions for the SBI Trade Finance Officer position are as follows:
- Trade Finance Document Scrutiny: Scrutiny of Letters of Credit, Collections, Bank Guarantees, etc., for compliance with Bank/RBI/ICC/FEDAI and other regulatory guidelines. Guidance to junior staff at CPCs and branch front offices.
- Transaction Processing: Processing of Trade Finance and Forex transactions at a centralized location on behalf of all branches, within benchmarked Turnaround Times (TAT).
- Reconciliation: Reconciliation of Trade Finance and Forex entries across the Bank’s Trade Finance, Forex, and CBS systems, including IDPMS/EDPMS.
- Any additional back-office operations related to International Business as directed.

- Accurate and timely processing of all Trade Finance/Forex transactions within TAT
- Tracking maturities, payments, and customer reconciliation
- Timely account/system reconciliation as per Bank norms
