UP PGT Exam Schedule & Shifts

The examination will take place at 319 centers across 17 districts in Uttar Pradesh. To accommodate all applicants efficiently, the examination is organized into two shifts each day.

  • Shift 1: 09:30 AM to 11:30 AM

UP PGT Selection Process 2026

The recruitment process for the PGT position consists of the following three comprehensive stages:

  • Written Exam (425 Marks): 125 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) worth 3.4 marks each. There is no negative marking.
  • Interview (50 Marks): Based on subject knowledge and teaching personality.
  • Special Qualification (25 Marks): Weightage given for higher degrees (B.Ed, M.Ed, PhD) or National Level Sports participation.
