NICL Assistant 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Below, we have detailed the essential NICL Assistant eligibility requirements that all applicants must meet to qualify for these positions.

Age Limit (1/7/2026)

Candidates must be aged between 21 and 30 years to apply for the NICL Assistant post. This means your birth date must fall between 2nd July 1996 and 1st July 2005, inclusive. Age relaxations apply for candidates from reserved categories.

NICL Assistant 2026 Selection Process

The selection process is highly competitive, with final merit based on performance in the Online Main Examination and the successful completion of the Regional Language Test.

NICL Assistant Regional Language Test (RLT)

Qualifying the NICL Assistant Main Examination is a prerequisite for the Regional Language Test (RLT), which tests your command of the local language for the state or Union Territory you have applied for.

NICL Assistant Salary 2026

NICL Assistant Probation Period

Note: Candidates who resign during the probation period or face termination are required to refund their full salary received during service, along with a penalty of Rs. 25,000 to cover partial training costs.
