MP SET Syllabus 2026

The MP SET exam will be conducted in an offline format at designated centers across Madhya Pradesh. The assessment consists of two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II, held consecutively without a break. Both papers feature objective-type, multiple-choice questions.

MP SET 2026 Paper 1 consists of 100 questions worth 100 marks, with a 1-hour time limit. Paper 2 includes 100 questions worth 200 marks, to be completed in 2 hours. Candidates must review the official MP SET Syllabus 2026 and exam pattern PDF thoroughly before the test.

Important Points To Be Remembered

  • The questions in Paper I intend to assess the teaching/ research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test the reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness of the candidate.
  • For each correct response, the candidate will get 2 marks.
  • There is no negative marking for an incorrect response.
  • Paper II is 100 marks based on the subject selected by the candidate.

Logical Reasoning

  • Understanding the structure of arguments: argument forms, the structure of categorical propositions, Mood and Figure, Formal and Informal fallacies, Uses of language, Connotations, and denotations of terms, Classical square of opposition.
  • Evaluating and distinguishing deductive and inductive reasoning.
